top end rebuild Q's

i have rebuilt blaster engines before but never a 2stroke w/ a powervalve. my first question is what must i do to the powervalve to take off the cyl.? and is there a manual that can give me a step by step to rebuilding the top end? thanx for ur help

Buy a factory service manual. It's easy, but you'll want the diagrams and instructions.

Can't believe how expensive yours is tho - Mine was $25. Try to find a used copy on that unmentionable auction site or amazon if you want to save $$.

Yep theres a manual,On my 98 there was a little arm(linkage) that came from the case,It has a 8mm bolt head,and a spacer under the bolt(doen't lose)Take the bolt loose-move the arm to the side and them replace the bolt and snug it up (so not to lose) then the rest is staight forward.
