There should be listings in both Newton/meters and foot or inch pounds. Make sure you know which one you are reading...and the inch/foot reading may need to be converted into what your torque values are. I've seen someone read 80 (and overlook the inch/pds) and try to torque it at 80 foot pounds :eek: ...it didn't work too well.

Depends on the application. In my manuals(Kawie Service Manuals) it will state wheather it is inch/foot. Though common sense plays a big roll with the general stuff and the components make up like aluminum, steel etc.
