Torquing cylinder down help with crows foot.

I bought a crows foot for my cylinder today and tryed torqueing it down to the correct spec which is 17 ft lbs or for my torque wrench 204 inch lbs and When I get it real snug the crows foot doesnt want to fit back in the nut and i cant get it to the point where the torque wrench clicks. Any advice please I really want to torque them but it seems impossible.

is there any way i can use my existing crows foot like is there a secret im missing? I see wat you mean tho a closed end wrench adapter would be so much easier.

hmm i just thought of something i could grind the ends of my crows foot down a little bit and make it kind of square for a little bit of room.
