Got some paint and cleaning questions. I am pouching up with Kawasaki Green the frame of my '89. I have primer for it, and plan to use clear coats a last step. I also have the shifter, kick stand break pedal off and am painting them silver. The match of color for them seems good. However I may have goofed because I did not use Rustolium, and I know the intended for car surface paint may wear too fast though (I know I'll be forever touching up the paint no matter what gets sprayed on).

My questions? Should I sparay some metallic silver Rustolium over the silver colored (shifter kick stand etc..)? Also, does Simply Green work as a cleaner? What should be my cleaning drill?

Enough from me - thanks in advance for any feed back.

As you say...no matter WHAT you spray on it, you'll be touching it up forever if you want to be looking at a nice shiney painty part.

I've tried simple green as a cleaner. Wasn't impressed.
