I typically bring anything useful on trail rides. With me in the backpack are a spare tube, pump, plenty of water in the camelbak, sparkplugs & wrench, spare cash, wrenches (metric) of course, a towel, cell phone, truck keys, spare gloves, tow strap.

In the truck and trailer I leave everything else, lift, tools, cb, emergency flares, etc. I learned a good lesson on the trail this past winter. I snapped a chain in the woods. Not a big deal right. No tow strap or extra chain with me. Real fun walking the bike back 10-miles up & down trails. I really did'nt walk it back. I basically buried the thing with any foliage I could find at the time. I radioed a buddy with a polaris 700 with a tow strap. He tugged me back to the truck. Never ride by yourself word to the wise. Good Luck, be safe.....
