trouble when reving??

Here I go with another rookie thread....Mk so when im coasting down a hill and i rev my CR as soon as i let off the gas and the engine is winding down there is some sort of a sound coming from the engine. Id describe it as like a scraping sound , it only last for like a second, I think it could be my chain possibly...what should i do? -thanks

could be the slack coming out of your chain and rubing somwhere... or mabey something rattling??. Are youre pipe mounts all good? maybe youre exahst seals in your cylinder are bad? kind one of those things you have to hear for your self.

if i were you id just keep trying it till you figure it out. my bike does the same and its the head pipe rattling in the cylinder, becouse the pipe mounts along the frame are broke off. when it gets to the point when it rattles put some pressure on the pipe with your foot and see if it changes. Or look for rub spots from your chain. But yea describe some more

okay, that was a lot of help...I will start looking and tinkering with some things tonight and get back with you tomorrow hopefully! -this forum rocks...

you might need to blip the throttle a little more to get the lubrication in the engine going? just a guess...

so like when i give it a good rev instead of jus letting it go down in rpm's instantly plimp it on the way down??
