CJ and I finally got it together thru the forum and PMs and met at Berthoud this weekend.

Thanks CJ!! It was wonderful meeting you!! We even figured out that we used to talk on here a few years ago. Kewl beans!

I've been off a bike for about a year and scared to death of dumping the Pampera, so I putt-putted around the Berthoud track having a good ol' time .;) Also went back and forth from the Pampera to CJs DR200....that was an interesting experience!!

Let's just say that I loved the weight and nimbleness of the Pampera (and the HEIGHT!! LOL) Easy to balance on standing up, killer low end. NICE BIKE! I'M SOLD!!

I will probably leave mine stock when I get it except to change out the handlebars and the chain.....I might even leave on those funny rubbery turn signals LOL.....Can't wait to get mine!!

Bundu....it's a little late to start telling everyone NOT to ride a Pampera!! Hopefully I'll have one in time for the Pampera-fest.:) And, YES I was drooling!

Katie

PS....My SO John is now in need of counselling....poor guy:eek: He was nice enough to watch 3 little kids for 4 hours while CJ and I rode....so he was already having to watch the fun and not be able to ride (we're both between bikes right now) but the WORST part was that someone he knows stopped to say hi and here John is with two women in gear and two bikes while he's watching the kids LOL Needless to say, he gets veeeeerrry special treatment this week, especially since he also did the brakes on my car this weekend. I see a fishing trip coming up next weekend, too! ;)

Yup, Katies a gonner, once you hop on one of these bikes, youz gotsa takes one home ! :(

I think you guys from CO should head on down this way for a mini winter fest, here at the Canadian river we have great riding, some terriffic GP style tracks, dry river beds, hill climbs etc, also free camping, just pull in with your RV and camp.

I have been riding with my boy the past 3 weekends at the river, and everytime we have a blast, the Pampera just loves to go, man this bike is fun, my pals on their big bikes just had to smile, "how can a little bike be so good !? "

I think my brother down in temple is just about to order his (we are going to have a lot of fun this summer !!! ) :)

I'd totally take you up on that offer, Bundu, if Reno weren't in February and New Zealand in March. Nice DRY riverbeds sound wonderfull after cleaning all the MUD off the bikes on Sunday. However, the DR200 looked so nice and clean afterwards that I may have found a buyer for it. Keep the fingers crossed! Katie- You're really right on about swapping out the handlebars right away. I changed mine out on Sunday and couldn't believe how bent up the stock ones were! It was all that trying somewhat unsuccessfully to follow Girlrider up hillclimbs, I'm afraid! LOL! Well, with new handlebars and bark busters, I'm ready to try those hillclimbs again!!!

LOL! But how do you REALLY feel about Texas, Katie?!

The "April ride" is a loosely planned trek to Moab. The weather that time of year is a little iffy. Sometimes ya hit snow; sometimes it's sunny and warm. That's the kind of trip to decide if yer going about a week beforehand after checking the forecast. :)

HOWEVER, there's yet another somewhat loosely planned trek to Moab scheduled for senco de Mayo weekend. That's after the snows, but before the nats come out. PERFECT!

So Bundu, are you getting sales commissions yet?

Dang Tim, I ride a girlie bike now ..... I am no longer a man :(

John wants to machine me some titanium levers...hmmmmm

John wants to machine me some too , yes please !!!

So Bundu, are you getting sales commissions yet?

This sale is all yours CJ, we may have to invest in our own dealership - will definitely have to have a talk with Dale about the comm though :D

Here, just outside of Amarillo we have a great riding area called the Canadian River, many trails, dry river beds, gp style tracks and trails, hill climbs, wide open stuff, and it is all free, also free camping, just drive up, find a spot and camp, we have people from all over come visit, had a dad and his sons from CO camping near us last weekend, says they come onw often, no snow, no mud this time of year, great for winter riding, 70 deg temps as well.

Now don't get me wrong but I was the one who told CJ to come over to my place to ride my GG trials bike and I gave her a brochure thing on the Pampera. And I showed her what that little thing can really do but I promise I did not bend the handlebars.;)

Bundu - John threatened to cut me off if I said one more thing about him machining parts!! LOL ;) He wants the bikes and the F350 crew cab, long bed w/ Triton V10 Lariat before he wants to put 2 machines in the garage! LOL

CJ - thanks for the info on the April *and* May trips.....May 3rd is John's Bday....maybe I can sneak in a surprise trip!

Girlrider - maybe one day I can try the trials bike! Been reading - sounds like a blast!

Tim -
We got a DEMO P280 that you're welcome to come try out at Trials Training Center anytime, on really tough single track. We're about 2 hours from B'ham, up near Chattanooga

Pampera Men: I've sold more Pamperas to men then I have women! They're contagious, one guy gets one, is able to go more places then the buddies, and then they got to have one.

I raced mine in the Sumter Enduro last weekend and I now call it the Pampera STW (Superior Trail Weapon).

Now, I'm back on trials bikes, training for the Nationals. No more enduros -- to easy to hurt yourself!

I'd like to try it out. Maybe I'll get up to the trials training center with Lemming sometime. Don't you guys host a VSTA trail ride? Are you going to Loretta Lynn's? Are you going to race the National Enduro in GA next month?

I'll be at both Loretta Lynn's trail ride and the National Enduro.

Bundu - looks like you need to stay in here a little longer. You seem to get in trouble when you venture out of the women's forum. ;)

Bundu,

I'll look for you in April at Loretta's. Do you remember meeting me at the DW back in '00? You were hanging out under a big shade tree between laps of the Team Hare Scramble. I walked past you on my way to the ambulance. You were mumbling something about the Dual Purpose tires (or tyres as you might call them) not giving much traction on the wet hare scramble course.

See you in April. I'm first in line for a ride on the girly bike. :p

Tim-
OUt of all those places, I will have the bike with me at the Cherokee National Enduro in GA - March 16-17. TTC will have a big display there. So anyone else in the neighborhood that would like to demo the bike you can do so there. Will probably be better to demo it on sunday, after all the racers take off and the pits are empty!
