Hi guys. So, my bike is just over a month old now (maybe 6 weeks actually) and I'd like to grease things I need to grease, all on my own. I want to do it on my own so I can get to understand and become more familiar with my Yamaha TTR230.
I've been reading through the manual and doing some reading here on this forum.
Here are the items I see that require grease ( THAT i CAN DO ON MY OWN ):
- Rear brake lever pivot
- Throttle cable (under the seat I can see the cable attached to the carb)
- Clutch level pivot point on the handle bars
- Clutch cable under the seat
- ???
Here is the lub I've been told to use for this type of thing:
Here are the items I see may require dealer shop tools:
- Swing Arm - there are nipples for it I think ( two nipples, one on each side of the bike, I think a grease gun is required here??? )
- Wheel bearings (front and rear)
Guys, please feel free to add items that I can GREASE BY MYSELF - and feel free to describe where the item is, as I don't know all of the parts locations yet.
thank you in advance for your replies and time!!
Cheers guys!
