Hola!

I've been getting on the gas earlier in flat turns and I notice the front end picking up much sooner than I'm used to. The thing is, it seems like once the front wheel gets off the ground, I take a more direct path and I'm not turning as much. This has caused me to run on the edge of the trails where I wasn't trying to be.

I see pictures of people doing this often, and I hear that this is a faster way of accelerating out of turns. It just feels like I have to lean a lot more into the turn once the wheel picks up to get the bike on the correct path.

Am I weighing the outside peg too much or not giving enough lean angle? Am I relying too much on steering in turns, and not enough lean angle, hence loss of steering direction?

I've just started riding like this so I'm still experimenting. Is this really the faster way through turns? Any comments appreciated! Thanks

What ive lurned in the Donnie Hansen class is you want to keep your body as far foward as possible. you also want to put as much weit as possible on the outside foot peg by leaning over on your seat. you also have to keep a steady throttle thruogh the turn.
