Today was my birthday so you know what that means, plenty of new cash flow. I have a pretty good deal of money and I'm going to contemplate getting a silencer but I think for sure I might get a new air filter. I'm hearing good things about both brands, the Twin-Air and the Uni-filter. The thing I'm wondering is will these improve throttle response or performance in the least? Also will I need to rejet with one of these filters. I have a slightly rich condition right now. I'd really like to know so I can put my money into a good investment for my bike.

I just put a Uni on my 02 YZ250. Cost was $25 and Twin Air was the same price, but unavailable. Fits and seals better than stock. I raced with it the first day I got it and noticed a difference in throttle response immediately. My bike ran great and I did not rejet anything. Well worth the $25!

I think I'm going to get a Uni, one or the other, I definetely would like a cheap helper like that. But I will keep both that way I have a backup when one is getting clean.

I've head good luck with the Twin Air filters..
The UNI filters do not work with No Toil filter treatment, the glue comes apart. From personal experience I have found the fit and quality superior on the Twin Air, as well.

Both filters are excellant. I like my Twin-Air filter. It has gone through about 20 washing and held up pretty good but now it's starting to break down. It is easier just to flip a coin and see  .
