Type of plastic for gas tank?

Does anybody know what type of plastic a 2001 yz 125 would be made of? I have a leak and I'm trying to find an epoxy.

They are made out of polyethylene (the exact blend I'm not sure) and are very difficult to bond without special priming and adhesives. The addition of fuel doesn't help either. Patman had some suggestions in your other thread but to be honest your best bet is to buy a new tank.

If you are dead set for trying to bond it Google bonding polyethylene
