I crashed an cracked the plastic mounts on my stock headlight. Bought a UFO dual beam (only using one) headlight model that has rubber mount straps. I really like the look, but the strap diameter is for larger upside down forks and is loose for the KDX forks. I used adhesive rubber weather strip and black duct tape around the forks to make the staps fit tight. I haven't ridden yet, but it does not seem to sturdy. Anyone come up with an other solution short of paying the $$$ for stock plastic or buying new forks :-) ?

U can use the rubber strap and cut a new loop farther in than the loop now on the strap. Heck it may even be stronger than the small diameter loop that comes with those.

Some people get a section of hose big enough to go arround the forks. Slit it down the middle and place it on th4e forks, then the straps go arround that...
Gas tank filler hose is usually what gets used
