Please count Will and I as definites to this most excellent spode-event... and we just picked up a box trailer so we won't have to bother you (Strick) for storage! We plan to leave Colorado early Wednesday morning to have some additional spodely time with ya'll this year. 'Can't wait to see everybody again and to meet some new folks too!!!

Hi Strick! My wife and kids have been asking me about the Moonrock ride since August. They wanted to be sure we won't miss it. Count us in. We'll dirve up early Thursday and stay thru Sunday. There is too much great riding to do it in only one or two days. Who's bringing the bacon this year ? ;)

We're in! Again! Just made the reservations. Peppermill, Feb 12-17. Riding Thursday thru Sunday. Dragging along a 7 X 17 enclosed trailer this year. No more worries about parking bikes at the hotel.

Looking forward to riding with you guys and gals again.

once again after 12 pages of things to look for and conditions to expect, everyone forgot to mention the rattlesnakes. :p

Haven't seen a rattlesnake in '02, but I did see a large bull snake. I couldn't even get it strike though.

Strick, did you post about how its going to work with people picking up and dropping off bikes at your garage? Those are important details since you're so generous as to offer up secure storage space! How did you all work it out last year??

It is actually pretty easy. On Friday the plumbing company storage facility is open 'til 5pm (I have the keys though). My house there will be someone there no later than 3pm on (when my daughter gets home from school). However, I will give my cell phone # to everyone and I can rendezvous with anyone throughout the day, except when I am riding. Thursday will be a piece of cake for drop-off. You will be amazed at how well the whole storage/drop-off activity takes place, and also how quickly it takes place.

Strick, that is really cool of you.

What should we do with trailers? It seems like it could be a pain at the Peppermill? I have a 6x10 enclosed, which I'm thinking of bringing. I could just load the bike in the back of the truck too...

There is enough parking at the hotels to easily accomodate a trailer. I do mean EASILY! OR, you can park it in the fenced yard at the plumbing company. The space inside the fenced yard is limited however. I would say park it at my house, but I would want to warn my neighbors first. Given we are still over 3 1/2 months away, I don't want to warn them quite yet.

My $0.02 on the Casino parking lots. They're huge! The one at the Peppermill that is specifically designated for trailers, on the north side of the building, is very easy to get into and out of.

Sorry, kids. I'm gonna have to bow out. I can't do 80 hours on the road.

Or ship your bike via ForwardAir & you fly out. One of the guys from NH did that in Oct '00 when a bunch of us on ThumperTalk met in Moab. It worked very well. I suspect ForwardAir goes right into Reno.....

I've got my 99 XR400 listed in the loaner bikes thread, but no takers yet. Yeah, it's a lowly XR, but its better than not going at all...

Thanks, guys. I'll check out flight arrangements. Should I fly into Vegas or. . .?

CSL, XR400s are excellent bikes. I just bought another one.

We're in :yeehaw: My son will be on "Sadam guard duty" 'till March but the wife and I will be there. I hope that damn pig carcass is gone by now :) That thing was bad luck for me. I'll remember to bring my own smelling salts this time! :thumb: If(when) I crash just dig around in the tool pouch and crack one for me
