I just booked us at the PepperMill Motor Lodge. (Did you know that a BBR will fit through the front door? .... (grin) ..... but the Katoom couldn't make the corner... (bummer, eh)) But wait, there's Mastuh Strick's friend Rick!

We'll be at the PepperMill from Thursday through Sunday -- drive back to Portland, OR on MOnday.

So The Ant (Susan P, '00 BBR-200) and E-Ticket (RandyB, '02 KTM 400 MXC) will be there.

If I didn't mention it before - wheeeEEEEEEEEEE-E-E-E-E-EEEEEE!!

Shoot. Elsinore Grand Prix in November and Moon Rocks in February.

Yes GMTC, we've made our motel reservations (Motel6 in Sparks,just like our honeymoon, ;) ) and Motololo is trying to get fri. off so we can be there all three days. :)

Hey GSR I think this Reno thing is really growing from year to year. Any chance of us getting our own forum. Maybe you can throw your clout around a little and hook us up..... Its gonna get ugly for people to sort through 30 or 40 pages of stuff to get all the info. I think it would be nice to have a forum with different threads with hotel info, dates, times, directions, activities and such.......

Or we can go for the longest thread record again.......:)

DRN Dirtweek is/was plastered all over the sight with banner, links, etc. VD spodefest isn't.

I totally agree, Strick... Moonrocks, aka, Valentine Reno Ride, is in 4.. no, 15 different spots! Okay, so maybe I'm exagerating just a bit. But it's real hard and not intuitive at this point to have a sub-forum of a regional chapter ... <blah-blah> ... when we have riders coming from "e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e".

My vote is to keep in the Organized Rides forums - treat it like a ride the level of DRN events - which it's on it's way to becoming. If only because of number of people and the fun level.

I also think the spurious threads in the Women's Forum are totally fine.... that's their medium to swap tips, convince each other to go, etc., etc.

I'll probably cruise the Organized ride forum for generic info on who's going, arrangements, etc. and the Women's Forum to for fun and to help nudge the fence-sitters.

By the way, has this ever really had an official name? Is it now the "Third Annual Moonrocks Ride" or the "Valentine's Ride?"

I vote for Moonrocks... it really sticks in your head and when other's hear about it ... they can't help but be curious!

I don't know about "official" name, but it originally came to be because of the ladies, namely Firecracker, (wish I had saved the original e-mail) and was thus deemed the "Ladies Valentine's Ride". While we may be out numbered every year by the men, it is the only organized ride that I have ever participated in that has such a strong showing of women. I for one would like to see the spirit of the event stay true to it's original intent, and that is for dirtbikin' girls to get together and say, "to hell with Valentine's Day, let's ride!" :) So don't be trying to re-name our gig there E-ticket! :p

Since it is drawing more men than ladies, Maybe Moorocks Valentine's Spodefest? I would like it to be called the 3rd annual SOMETHING??
