I have a small hole in my rear tire and bought some PCC to seal the tube but it says that you have to remove the valve core to put it in the tire. Question is, How do i remove the core? I know they make little tools for it but is there a "laying around the house" method of doing this w/out having to go and buy the core remover tool?

Some valve stem caps have the tool made on them. I can't think of anything around the house that would substitute. The tool isn't expensive. Should be able to get it at any auto parts store or even Walmart.

You can guy valve stem caps with them. Probably $1.99 per pair at your favorite parts store. Get metal ones. I've seen plastic ones that are useless. Then take an old tubeless valve stem and put one on it and keep it in your tool box or where ever.....

Would really small needle nose plyers work?
I don't know if any of my caps have it and i'm broke until right before I'm leaving to go riding this friday night so trying to come up with a free solution.

Well noticed that the tube doesnt have any leaks... The valve stem core was really loose. i tightened it and its been holding air for over 16 hrs now.

small needle nose pliers work just fine. The tools are junk if the valve is dirty or real tight. Sounds like yours was just loose.
