Network Commits To 3.5 Hours Of Live Coverage From Las Vegas Races. Sheheen, Stephenson, Voda And White To Handle Speed Broadcast.

AURORA, Ill. (April 10 , 2006) — SPEED, in its first year broadcasting the Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series, will go LIVE from Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas on May 6 at 10 p.m. ET with its coverage of the final races of the Supercross and Supercross Lites seasons.
"What a great way to finish our first year of coverage," said Rick Miner, SPEED SVP of Programming/Production. "The entire SPEED team was thrilled to hear supercross was coming to the network, and this is a great way to demonstrate our commitment to developing the best television coverage the sport has ever seen."
SPEED will cover 10 races over 3.5 hours, including the Amp'd Mobil World Supercross GP, Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Series and both divisions of the Amp'd Mobile AMA Supercross Lites in an East-West Shootout.

Two heats (top four advance to the main)
Two semi-features (top five advance to the main)
One last-chance qualifier (top two advances to the main)
One main event (20 laps, 20 riders)
Supercross Lites:
Two heats (top nine advance to main)
One last-chance qualifier (top four advance to main)
One main event (15 laps, 22 riders)
