Well I finally got home from 4 days of fun with AJ, BillyWho, GSR, Thumbs etc and had a whole 24 hours to turn around and be back in the area. Now I am stuck working in Victorville for the next couple of weeks. Normally that wouldn't be too bad but I will be working 7 days a week, 10-14 hours a day. I have to see dirt bikes everywhere on my way to the plant and back :( Is there anything kewl to do in the evenings?

GSR - I'll get off work at 7:00 tomorrow, see ya about 8:00 ? :p

FJ - I know you aren't insinuating that I need practice outdoor cooking :(
FJ - PM me about those wheel chocks......

I wasn't complaining 'bout the work - I Love it.... but it sucks to be here and see bikes and trails everywhere I look and not get to ride :(

Hey-stuck in my hometown! I wish I had an extra bike; I'd show you around! Like Jeff said, no bike, no entertainment in this town! It's the movies or the mall if you're bored, and there's a little club on Park Ave. that I hear is fun, but I've never been there.
At least you picked a good time to be here-the weather has been perfect! Well, I'll be thinking about you when I roll the KTM out of the garage this weekend!:p

Wasn't TTRGUY LOOKING for a job just a little while ago in a post???? In these times, I'd not be complaining too loudly!!

I've never been there, but I just imported my girlfriend to indiana from victorville. I'll ask her what there is to do there. :D

KTMBoy - Thanks for the thought but even if you did have a bike I still wouldn't be able to ride. Working from 6-7 am til 5-8 pm depending on managers stress level :) Next week I may be doing the whole night shift thing so.... What I really need is a location of a sports bar that would have all the NFL games on Sunday. Probably miss them all this week :( but maybe next!

Hey DD - I do indeed hope you're kidding. Wait a minute, you've actually been there haven't you ;)

There used to be one in the shopping center at the corner of Green Tree Blvd. and Hesperia Rd. That was years ago so it may be gone now.

Some of the eat places show sports- El Tio Pepes' by the mall, Archibalds across the street, Johns Incredible Pizza has a sports room, and if you really get desparate, go to Best Buy and hang out by the TVs!:)

Man that does suck. You're stuck in dirt bike heaven with no dirt bike. Lessee, just minutes away you've got Johnson Valley, Stoddard Wells, Phelan, Red Mountain, the back way to Arrowhead, Big Bear, etc, etc. Sucks to be you. ;)

Congats on the job hunt though.

That place is far from incredible. It got 3 thumbs down from The Eel, CPTjack and myself. We ate there on the our way home from the Wicked Bird enduro yesterday. Its a buffet at $10 a person. The only redeeming factor was the sports room. At least we were able to watch 49ers as we ate our undercooked pizza.

Hey thumbs--I never said they had good food--I was just naming off some places to go watch some football. If I knew I was gonna be home I would've invited him here, but the missus probably would put him to work too!:p

I never said you said they have good food. It was the huge sign that said "Incredible Pizza" that I blame.

I heard Eddie is a good house boy so you might want to invite him over and let the missus put him to work.;)

The really sad part is that I would actually welcome the chance to even WORK on a bike right now. I've seen about 30 bikes in trucks the past two days :( RMJeff, I found a place in a strip where Hesperia & Green Tree intersect and there was a laundromat about 4 doors down. Two birds with 1 stone:)

Hmmm.. I'll do housework for GSR but I don't know about the rest of you. Its a matter of 'compensation' :p

The way I see it, you could always have the Mrs. hold out a flood light in the back yard as you ride. Just make sure you know where the ditches are located from the last rain storm in case you get too far away from the light source. Man I hate daylight savings time. We need night time lighting like Alaska gets in the winter. That way you could work nights and still go riding afterwards
