Folks,

What is the viscosity of Yamaha 01 Suspension Fluid? I'd like to find a replacement of the same viscosity that doesn't cost $30 a liter.

If you don't know but you're using something else, please let me know specifically who makes it and what the viscosity is.

It's supposed to be the equivalent of about a 5 wt..

Vic,

I had a guy show me what he runs in his KX125. It's some Spectro at 125/150 viscosity. The suspension fluid uses different numbers than the standard "fork oil" like I run in my kid's KX65. All the writing on the Yamaha can is in Japanese, but I would have thought I'd recognize numbers. I don't want to have to start all over tuning the front end because I want to save some money. I was hoping to at least get close with the viscosity.

Anyone else? It's for a YZ85.

Follow this link and study the specs. It may help you figure it out.

As I said, 01 is about the same viscosity as most manufacturer's five weight.
