How bout it, next weekend if this weather holds out? I've got the woods bug lately. I was thinking maybe Lake Murray. Possibly get some Heartlanders in the mix. I'm open for suggestions. There are so many places I have yet to try it really doesn't matter. What about it tx246, teeds, Stan (I hear somebody has a new ride), txbigguy? I'm all ears.........

What? Stan? New ride? Get a real bike? *chuckle*

Man that sounds like fun, but I've got the TCCRA bug as of late and Gilmer is one of the most fun tracks in the State. If you have never ridden Barnwell Mountain, you should. Marked trails and everything. It's a good way to support those who support our sport, as it is owned by the Texas Motorized Trails Commision. What about after the Dallas SX? I hear all this noise about Muenster on Sunday.. We ridin on Monday?

I don't think it was Stan that got the new ride, rumor is papa "flemmings" is on new wheels.

So far I'm open for either day. I've got a buddy from work who would prefer Sat. but I don't think it matters too much. Weather may decide for us.

As far as SX goes, Monday is more of a possiblity than Sunday. My folks are coming in to big D to baby sit so my wife and I can go to the SX. That means hanging out with them on Sunday before they leave.

Enduro nut-I'm still wanting to make one of those Thur rides with youze guys. Maybe the spring weather will help push me over the edge.......

I wanna. I might be able to persuade Lorin to ride down with me. Is it sandy or will it be a mud bog?

jeffd and I are going to head out to boondoxx Sunday morning.  I'll be up for a Muenster ride in a few weeks.  I gotta work off some of this blubber that's formed over the past 8 weeks before I can handle some extended offroading.

Basketball season is over.... I can ride again!!!  :yeehaw:

Its a go. tx246, myself, and most likely a third will be there around 8 or so. He drives a white ford truck and I'll either be in a red jeep or silver honda odyssey.

Sheesh, it's about my luck that I just now saw this. Been overloaded with homework lately. Wish I could drop English and take up MX at school! Anywho, Daddy Stan is the one with new wheels. I rode it for a few minutes, though, and the second I can afford one (which may very well be years  ) I'll get one just like it, and roost all over Eric :p I'm definately up for Muenster after SX, and may ride before that if I'm lucky.

Roost all over me? Pshh.. gonna have to catch me first pardna!

Looks like for me it'll be TCCRA at Bells in 2 weeks, then day after Big D SX (maybe the day after the day after even?). Pretty open after that. Need to ride as much as possible between then and end of May though cause I got a lifeguard job workin 45+ hrs a week (read: no riding time) for the summer. Oh well, maybe I'll finally be gettin that new ride I've been talking about for so long. Anybody got a WR they want to let me test ride?

Which reminds me Stan... I'll have a real bike up for sale here real quick. Already got the good woods stuff on it. Plan on letting her go for $2100.

I guess I need to have Stan post it on some other sites, as the peeps on this site don't know what a fine moto-machine it is. :yeehaw:

Grady, I actually had a blast riding your 600 in the woods. Super comfortable and tons of power. When you get up to speed, it gets a little busy, but I thought it was very manageable. I'm considering a street-legal 600 for dual-sport.

By the way, my son Jimmy and I are heading up to Muenster Saturday. If you and Stan want to meet us there, look for my big white van (big white man, etc.). My first choice is the little hole behind the old brick bathrooms near the sand pit, but if that's taken I'll be around there somewhere. I'll put up my KTM flags, if it's not too windy.

Jim, we plan on being @ Muenster Friday night, staying till Monday morn. I was planning on the grassy fields, but am now considering electricity might be nice, so we may also be near the old brick bathrooms.

It was a blast to tag along with you last time :thumb: will be interesting to see if the KX does any better than the XR did, I have only ridden it once, and the melting ice was still on the ground @ Muenster, making quite a muddy mess. :|

I need to call to get the combo to the gate, since we will arrive tomorrow night.

Jim, it'd be great to ride with you again! I'm also eager to meet you're son. This time my Dad will bring the fifth wheel, and I'll follow behind him with the bikes in my truck. As Daddy-o said, we'll arrive Friday afternoon, and leave Sunday morning or afternoon. Hope you can make it!

Fantastic! Since you'll be there first, just pick your spot, and I'll find you there. Describe your trucks to me again, if you would. We'll get there as early as we can Saturday morning. I was there today, probably only put on about 35 miles, as my two riding partners punked out on me. Traction is extremely varied; back in the hills, in the shade, lots of tacky soil. There are also some large mud holes still around. (I came over a steep jump too slow and plowed right into a big mud hole; tipped over). But in the sunny areas, it's dry and slippery. So there's a little bit of everything. Should be lots of fun. See you there.

Tan F-350 4x4 pulling a 30ft American Star fifth wheel. I'll be in a white Mazda truck with a DRN sticker on the rear window. My KDX also has DRN fender stickers, and Dad will be on his new KX250.

Well, it was a great day! Stan and Grady showed up; also Hugh and his son, James, and with my son Jimmy and me there were six of us. Once Grady got his new KX250 sorted out (sticking throttle), we put in some very enjoyable miles all over the park. Jimmy's KTM 200 had some uncharacteristic problems, but we still had a lot of fun. The final ride of the day, with Grady, Stan, and me, was really fun. Most of the ATV drivers had cleared the trails and we could move along at a pretty good clip. By the way, Grady, PM me with your email addresses and phone numbers; I want to put you guys on my short list of Muenster fools. Enjoyed it. By the way, Stan, I can't believe how many miles you put in Saturday! Were you sore afterwards?
