20 would be a relief we had 760 riders last week and ran at least 28 gate dropsbclapham said:Dave- does this mean Azzie will have to run 30 motos instead of the normal 20 odd????
i dont mean this in disrespect mate, i just find it astonishing that people will show up to wait for another 21 classes to go off the gate before their next moto.
someone needs to setup an REM franchise out in the midwest.....sign up at 8 am, practise at 9 am, racing starts at 11am and everyone is on the way home at 3pm, after everyone gets two 15 min practise sessions and two 15 + 1 lap motos (25 min for the pros).

now Chili, don't be takin' guys' scapegoats away. ;)Chili said:Given that Steve Whitelock is employed by AMA Pro Racing as the Director of SX and MX I seriously doubt he had any input into Amateur class structure.

lwsmithjr said:Not to nit pick here, but the 150 is classified as a "mini cycle". The 125 class is a 'motorcycle" class. Mini Cycles are not allowed in ANY motorcycle class with the exception of Youth (schoolboy), Women's and Vet classes. Mini's are governed by an additional section of rules.
Your track may have let you do it, but technically it's not legal.
Just because a promoter let you do it, doesn't mean that it was legal by AMA standards. Also, even though the track hosts AMA sanctioned events doesn't mean that all of their races are AMA. For example, Bremen MX holds several AMA races each year (including this years LL SE amateur regional) but they also have an outlaw series that "loosely" follows the AMA rules. Also, even the Lorettta Lynn races use a slightly modified version of the AMA rules, I seem to recall them having supplemental rules of MXSPORTS.com.150rguy said:They let me race 125 beginner at Washougal, which is AMA sanctioned.
