Washing my KX

Okay I got a new(used) 2002 KX250 today and I noticed electrical components on the carberator. What are they? And can I wash my bike without covering them up? Or should I cover them before wash?

You shouldn't need to... Most electronics are built to withstand water, dirt and other foreign material to come in contact with it...

is there 2 connectors 1 is a powerjet solenoid and the other is a tps.

Yea one is a Solenoid looking thing the other thing I plugs into the air inlet of the carb. I have no idea what they do and I don't want to get into the carb untill I get a book. The book should be in the mail anyday now so that's a good thing.
