Raced Lynnville, In today as part of the mid-south harescramble series. Shane Watts was leading and smacked a tree just ahead of me. When I got to him he appeared to be out cold. After the race, I couldn't get an update on his status. Anybody else hear how he's doing?

Nikki and Roger Hayden raced today as well. Placed 1st and 2nd in 250 B.

All due respect to the Haydens as they are incredible riders, but IMO full time professional racers should be in the A class when crossing over to other forms of racing. If you are among the country's best roadracers and flattrackers, you have the skills to be in the A class at an offroad event.

Sorry to hear about Watts - I hope he's OK.

Yeah, they were fast enough to be in the A class. But I don't think they should be forced to race A-class just because they are professional road-racers. That would be like forcing Larocco or Pastrana to ride with the Hayden's at a road-racing event. The Hayden's are no different than the average Joe at a hare scramble. They should work their way up, just like anyone else.

Watts was ok, just a little bruised.

Not exactly. I said the Haydens should race A or expert, not Pro or AMA National Championship class. If Pastrana or LaRocco had as much seat time on a road racer as the Haydens do on dirt bikes, they would probably be competitive with local road race experts, IMO.

Glad to hear Watts is OK.

It was good to see them there no matter what class they ran. I don't think we should make an issue about what class they ran, they must love the sport of riding motorcycles no matter what the race. It would be different if they were going to race the series but I don't think we'll see them at any other Mid-South this year.
Its great for the Mid-South series to have big names at it. Next thing you know the races will be Speedvishion:confused:

When I went by Watts he was still lying on the ground, there were 2 corse marshals with him so I didn't stop, I herd he might have tangled with a lapper but that's just what I herd. If Watts did tangle with a lapper than I'm sure Scott Horton will have more to say about that subject at the next Mid South riders meeting.

I was standing next to my bubby in the 250B class and noticed Tommy Haden and his brother Nickey, I wasn't sure so I just asked him what his name was and he said Tommy Haden. I told him that I thought it was realy cool to see them here doing a harescramble and to have fun.
I was suprised and also glad to see them at one of our Mid South harescramble's. I wasn't sure how they'd do and mabe neither were they but I'm sure they had fun. I'm sure they wern't there for the atention because they didn't stay around for the trophy's, mabe just some sibling rivalry.
