I would just like to know if there would be any interest in a harescramble or GP series in western Ks. Maybe six races long maybe? Kendall would be a prime location, so would the river trails at Garden City< if there still open to riding?>. Thats just two places that could be looked into. Nuthin set in stone yet, just an idea.

I would if it was'nt so far from my home close to Kc. Now some winter races would be worth the drive. With what I've seen of western kansas it would be a desert race.

I can't disagree with you there! Some places out here actually have some trees! Kendall is one of them, as long as you keep close to the river. The last harescramble that was out here was only 2 miles long, and went through the parking area of the mx track. I think there are better places to ride off road out here than that.

Our farm north of Hays was nice ground-the Saline river ran through it. Some of the northwestern part of the state actually has some terrain to it-just nothing like what we have back here. It really is two completely different types of country. The Cedar Bluff area would have some great terrain if you could get land use permission. I hunt that area-it has some thick timber and low-level brush.

I was looking on randmcnally. They say that Kendall is seven hours from Kc. Is this possible. I'm not kncking the western part of are great state. Desert conditions sounds like alot of fun.

Desert racing could be fun out here!:D Around Pratt and Haviland there is alot of sandy rolling hills that look like alot of fun too! I've rode on a track over by Haviland, and when it rains that track is AWESOME! ;) And Yes Kendall is probably 7hrs. from KC. I'll call up the track owner at Kendall tomorrow to see if he would be interested in holding a harescramble there.
