What Brand Tank

An abrubt meeting with a large tree sent me up on the tank and I cracked my gadcap with - well use your imagination.

I need a replacement cap - but cannot remember what the tank manufacturer is for late model KDX's. I am sure it has to be an Acerbis/Clark/IMS etc.

Any ideas?

I used Permatex Plastic Bonder more than a year ago to fix my cap. It has a tiny glass jar with some kind of preparer and a tiny tube of what looks like super glue. It worked great and holds like iron. I would highly recommend it and I'm sure it is far less than a new cap.

My replacement cap was only $15 from the dealer. Remember, there is a gasket under the rim of the cap. Pull it and reuse.

Funny - I didnt even think to check what the OEM cap cost. I was stunned to see the $15 post - and indeed it is.

I figured $70+ would be the going price as they get $15 for just about any screw/bolt or washer.
