Hi,
I've only been riding bikes since last Feb so I'm not very experienced with maintenance. I've got a Yam 125 WR (its a special Yamaha France do - YZ made road legal for France only) - its basically a YZ (1998).
I've started riding the bike on the local track and I was trying to clear a double when I came up sort and I bottemed out the front suspension. There was definitly a clunck as the suspension fully compressed. After that, on one of the shocks, oil has started to appear on the lower part of the fork. I wipe it away but it gets replaced every time I compress the suspension. What could it be - have I cracked a seal? I friend mention that suspensions have a value at the top, so that if you do bottom out the oil will push its way into the dry chamber and this is what I am seeing. If I just wipe and compress the suspension enough times the oil will eventually disspear. Could this be the case? I really don't know much about suspension.
I have to say though that it rides the same and doesn't feel any worse.
Any ideas/suggestion?
thanks a lot,
Wayne
