What rims of a road bike can i use to make my bike motard? I am unable to afford the correct motard rims, so a cheaper alternative would be great.Doesnt matter if its a spoke wheel or an alloy rim.
Buy any set of rims with the right width and diameter for street tires and the right spoke count for the hub. Then, go to somebody like www.buchananspokes.com and order a custom spoke set to fit your new rims. Their custom sets don't cost much more than aftermarket kits (about $80-90 per wheel). If you like, lace up your own wheel, otherwise you'll have to pay someone else to do it.
