What should my next bike be?
First off I edited this post to get more opinions and an overall better idea of a good bike for me.Plus I noticed after I went about posting it the wrong way.Anyways here are the 10 questions...
1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)
About 5' 7"-5' 8" tall and about 135-145 lbs
2) How physical / aggressive are you ?
Pretty agressive rider, can throw around bikes and atvs pretty good and I found out the hard way my body can take a thrashing...
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????
I ride quite a bit of woods but mostly at a friends sandpit and some sand ramps that are set up.Planning on getting into riding a little mx and maybe even setting up a track at the pit or in my yard.
4) Do you have any riding experience?
Yes.Quite a bit with fourwheelers, alright amount with bikes and alot of practice with a clutch.I am pretty good on my kx250 when its running right.
5) Do you think you will race ?
Want to try to get into it a little just for fun someday.
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?
I dont know how mechanically inclined I am but I can pretty much rebuild a complete 2 stroke engine save for the tranny on my own.
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?
No preference on brand but I am pretty stuck on 2 strokes.
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry?
I dont even know if I have a bike dealer nearby but I am probally going to buy used off another person most likly anyways.
9) How much do you plan to spend on a bike?
Hopefully under $3500.Maybe a little more.
10) anything else that you think would help form an opinion
I want most likely a 2 stroke that I can throw around sizewise(like hit ramps with, climb the sand pits and just drive where I want)but still have alot of power and not get bored with it.If need be I might be able to invest in some aftermarket parts for the power. To let you know where my idea of fast is for top speed,I think a banshee quad is fast but my current 400EX isnt. Also,I love take off power.
Thanks,
Ron
