What to do to my motor ?

I bought an '89 YZ250 from a buddy for cheap and it has a bent connecting rod. So... I am going to have the motor apart and I though while I have it apart.. what can I do to it to make it sick ? I bought a new connecting rod, a complete gasket set, and new crank bearings and seals. What can I do to it while it is apart to get some added power out of it ? Thanks.

Did the top end receive damage when the rod bent? If you have the bottom end apart, you may want to replace all the bearings and seals.
