I'm interested in finding out what the best bike would be for a person who has never rode before except for some old honda scooters. I'm 25 years old 6'3'' tall and 200 pounds I want to trail ride with friends. No racing but want to be able to keep up, just something to ride a few times a year on camping trips. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

A KDX200 or 220 will be a perfect bike for what you are interested in doing. It sounds like you are planning on doing mostly trail riding and just recreational weekend warrior type stuff so I would say that you really cannot get a better, more reliable and dependable bike. Not to mention, for the price nothing touches it. It is a very versatile machine and it can be raced and jumped just as easily as it can be used for casual play riding. The other benefit that the KDX provides is that there are numerous aftermarket add-ons and performance enhancers that you can bolt on to further suit your preferences. It is a bike that you can learn on and wont get bored of as your skills improve.
