What year CR 250 or YZ 250 is the best?

I am looking for a green sticker CR or YZ. i love the powerband on my buddies 02 CR but i hear the YZ's are also amazing bikes. I just want to know, what is the best bike, in the 96-02 range for the CR and YZ??
