I bought a 93 CR125 a few months ago and the top end was burnt, so I had the cylinder bored out from 54mm to 56 mm, re-nikasil plated and installed a new wiseco piston.
Just a couple of weeks ago I bought a 96 CR125 with a bad piston (cylinder is OK).
My dilemma is that I heard the 96 was the best year for the CR125 because of the cylinder and head design but my 93 has a larger and better machined cylinder and piston I'm only keeping one bike and thinking of putting the bored 93 cylinder on the 96 bike (It's the one I'm keeping) or should I stick with the stock size 96 cylinder and piston?
I'm sure there’s a Honda 2-stroke guru out there that can help me.
