I am in the market for a new bike and have been looking hard at the KDX200/220. I was riding a KX125, but found that it was lacking the low end grunt and overall smoothness of an offroad bike. What I was hoping to get some help with is, what is the major differences between the 200, and the 220? Also which would be the better bike to hop up? Thanks.

Thanks for the link. Lots of cool stuff. But I was just wondering if it is worth the extra 500 to 800 dollars for the 220. Or if I would be better off just buying the KDX200 and putting that extra money in some go fast goodies.

So I found brand new 2003 sitting in the back of a show room today. I can get I for $3900. I think its probably a good deal, but I'm not sure. It seems a bit over priced if its an '03, and they still haven't sold it. Are there any major differences between the '03, and the '04? The salesman was absolutely no help. He kept trying to tell me that it was a 2005, and that the only differences between the 200, and 220 was the 20cc's. "Which means way more power". Thanks to your help I know better than that.

Ive decided on geting the 200, and put the money I'll save from buying the 220 into goodies. The dealer said the lowest they could go is $3900 for the 03 kdx200. Ive been finding newer ones for about $200 to $400 more. I wouldnt mind buying the 03 since its new. But is the price right?

They quoted me $3900. I Just moved to Las Vegas. And still don't really know where all of the dealers are. I found the '03 at the first Kawasaki dealer I found. Tommorow I plann on hitting them all up and hopefully find a better deal. I am not really against buying used, but It's hard to find a KDX nearby. Everyone out here wants to be a motocross superstar. Most of what I find are ratted out MX bikes. Thanks for the e-bay tip, I never even thought to look there.
