Alright so I'm going to get a dirtbike pretty soon. I definitely want a YZ, and most likely a 4 stroke to save mixing gas and whatnot. Im debating between a 250F and a 450F. A 250 wouldn't be a problem but Im a big guy, (260 lbs) and im being told that im too big for a 250. which one should i go with?

250 two stroke, or 450 four stroke. One thing though....I wouldn't base your decision on the fact that you might have to mix gas. There's plenty of work on a four stroke to replace that little task. Do some research (read "searches") on this site and I think you'll find plenty of info on both 4 and 2 stroke bikes and thier differences. YZ165

yeah. i mean maitenance and stuff isnt a problem. i dont even know why i bothered to put that random nonsense about mixing gas in there. but yeah i was looking at either a 250 2 stroke or a 450 4 stroke. what are the pros and cons to each? the only reason i was told to watch out for a 250 is because the suspension is only made to handle so much weight or something?

The suspension will handle you just fine. After a while, as you get faster, heavier springs and some valving would help, but as a beginner, the stock stuff is really good. Good luck with whatever you choose, you'll love either. YZ165
