Seriously? I've often wondered about the Swine Flu thing. Seems odd that they'd even bother to train for something like this. If anything, I'd guess their problem will be people NOT wanting to take what basically equates to an experimental drug.

Seems there are more and more stories building on this non-event?
Maybe it's (or they think it will) mutated into something worse (feasible) and they just aren't telling us? I'm no conspiracy lover but it seems like they are slowing building to something here. I mean, from everything I've read it's no worse than any other flu bug? What am I missing here?

Thoughts?

Then this... it's an effort getting thru the bogus internet flap, but this appears to be legit:

Never been a fan of trusting fools with tools telling me that they are shooting a dead/modified virus in me to help me? The flu has always killed the very young, very old, and those with issues. Seemingly with or without the flu shots. The media has played hysteria, no big deal, and now the fda has the bull by the horns? Heck of a way to make a living I guess?

Gee I wonder how they manage to transport all the other things the public doesn't know about yet this needs special plans?

I think it was our esteemed Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton that said. "Never waste a good crisis." :|

While I'm not a fan of getting a shot just to get a shot, in EMS we're almost guaranteed to get the H1N1 vaccine. I'm not sure why we're not getting the regular flu shot as well, but whatever.

Having dealt with a small "pandemic" of our own in the department (we had almost 2/3 of or volunteers down with Norovirus a couple years back) I am in favor of having contingency plans in place.

I'll let you all know how it turns out . . .
