Why does my tire come off rim

I am running a michilin m12 120/90-18 at 14 psi. 2001 mxc 200

about a foot of tire poped off both sides of the rim, twice :(

has anyone else ever had this problem ?

Most likely the wires in the bead have broken. Throw it away because it will just come off again.

Might want to make sure the tire is between the rim lock and the rim and not on top of the rim lock. Just a thought.

My brother had the same problem with a tyre, the bead was broken, hasn't happened since with different tyres. ;)

You can sometimes get a free tire from your rep if you return the tire with a broken bead wire.

sounds like you have ridden on a flat for too long

They can also break if the person mounting them doesn't do it properly. Not using any lube and forcing the bead on is the usual cause.
