Will an 02 cr250 tank fit an 00

I have a 00 cr250 and like the 02 shrouds better but i know they wont bolt up without modification (the bolt holes don't line up) to the 00 tank. I think they bolt up to the frame and have heard of these shrouds being used on 00 tank but they are supposed to look below par.

Any info will be appreciated.

they are different part numbers on the oem parts finder but not sure how much of a physical difference there is.

I am pretty sure the lower rear bolt on the 02 shroud won't line up with the lower rear tab on the 00 frame, even with the 02 tank. athe 02 tank should fit on your 00 frame because it is only a bolt and a rubber strap.

Could the tab be repositioned to the right place, or is the shroud bolt hole in a bad position.

There is a guy who made a piece for each side to get it to work. It may have been Kuritaro (not sure of the spelling). There is a detailed post on doing this somewhere on the web...I haven't seen it in a long time.
