I have a co-worker who claims that he had a YZ490 that made somewhere in the neighborhood of 125 HP. Is this a realistic number?

My Yz 490 was no where close to this number. Still, the bike would have been a horrible pos if it made 250 hp. Just like that old expression..."You cannot polish a turd" Maybe this guy did???

125hp.......YZ490....no way....not even if you were measuring at the crank and not the back wheel. Maybe he's one of these guys whose bikes always put out 20hp more than anyone else with the same model.....and all just because he happens to own it.

Heres a example of tuner BS, he claims 35hp from a Cr125-ive seen the dyno print out-33.5HP, he claims 39HP from a KTM 125-the graph isnt cclear enough to see the scales.He now claims a KX125 he tunes has 2hp more than last years works KX125s , he says it has 41.5hp.So we have gone from a 33.5hp Cr125 to a 41.5hp GP beater.Dont beleive the hype.

Marcus, that's nothing, my 250 SX puts out around 400hp with the nitrous hooked up ;P

treekiller and crrider..I am in charlotte..how far would that Thunder Valley be..I wonder how long it would take to get there from Charlotte. CRRider, what are you riding 125,250?

Thunder Valley is on the old 421 above Yadkinville (going towards North Wilkesboro). I don't have my motorcycle anymore.
