Yesterday, i took my buddies brand new WR426F for a spin. After removing the air box lid it pulled nicely from down very low.

AFAIK since '99 the WRs get the thin YZ base gasket, since '00 they get the slim YZ seat and tank (over here in EU), it could be that YAMAHA did give them the YZ timing as well.

We just lack skills and tools to measure piston to valve clearances, and we don't want to slam them both into each other. :)

So:
Does anyone know if the exhaust cam needs the same "adjustment" as the '98 WR400 to free YZ like power?
