I recently fractured 3 bones in my left wrist (radius, ulna, and scaphiod) so now I'm interested in protecting the wrists. Anyone ever looked at these snowboard wrist guards http://www.glomming-gear.com/gear.html ?? They look very good but I wonder if you would still have enough range of motion. Maybe use one on the left wrist and use something less protective on the throttle wrist like an EVS brace?

Ouch!

FWIW, I shattered the Radius and the Ulna in my left wrist 10yrs. ago. There are two products that I don't ride without anymore. One is a EVS wrist brace and the other is a Boyesen Flex Grip. These two products have let me continue riding. I've tried other braces but all hinderd my grip of the bars. (The No Gomer in the web site looks to be a pretty good brace, kinda wondering about the thumb part though. ) The Flex Grip allows the wrist to rotate just enough in hard landing that I don't rejam the head of the Ulna (which is the part of the wrist that shattered).

Good luck, I hope this helps.

man.. I'm glad I found this thread

I just found out I've been racing mx for the last three years with a broken scaphoid. I'm not going in for surgery to try to get it fixed until after this race season so hopefully one of these braces could help.. I just though I had bad arthritis .:think
