Trying to get an old xl80s up and running and have ran across a snag. It wont fire. I got this from a neighbor kid that had ripped the wiring apart. I have very little left to work with.
First, it had lights and a battery. I have the old battery.
Also has points and a coil under the tank.
Now my question is, do I have to have the battery to get this thing running again? Or can I do something else to make it fire.
Im not planning on installing any lights and would rather not even have the battery if I dont have to. But I can put it back if it needs it to fire.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thought I would fix it for my youngun.
