I recently roached the head and cylinder on an XR100, apparently from lack of oil. As I was examining the remains I was pondering how the cam gets any oil. I don't see any oil passages anywhere. Is the oil just carried up with the cam chain or am I missing something?

Thanks

bro.

The oil is fed to the top end around one of the cylinder studs. The one with the copper washer on it.

A way to check if your top end is getting oil is to loosen the nut on that stud while the engine is running. Oil should come out.

Just my $ .02
