Just wondering if the aftermarket makes a motocross style rear fender for the latest model xr400?

Yep, theres plenty for that app. You should check out aloop's seat/tank kit for the xrs at aloop.com (pricey but worth it)

you can make an early 90's CR500 fender fit to have that MX style you're dreaming of.
