There's a good chance you might need longer cables. If you have the foresight to buy a bar "kit" it will come with said cables.
The only way to know for sure is to install the bars and see if you have enough wiggle room. You'll know pretty quick whether you need new cables.
Caveat Emptor, I know a guy who put different bars on his KDX200 and every time he turned left he'd get full throttle. I also had a problem on my XR400 after putting on a tall triple-clamp, and the bike would die every time I turned right, but that was because it would trip the compression release lever. Both of these problems were cured by re-routing the cables properly.
when you put the big bars on turn both ways and push the forks up and down so you dont pull on any other cables. other than that you shouldnt need any new cable or wires.
