Yamaha yz part number cross reference ???

Hi, when looking same model in this case yz250 and two different years (2001 and 1991) of the same part (primary driven gear) and all the part numbers match except the first 3 which for example are 5DJ-16150-00-00 and you go back a few years to 1991 and the same part 3SP-16150-00-00. is the first 3 just a year identification, will these parts interchange?
