Can someone with a manual tell me the specs for the connecting rod-crankshaft clearance? How much play up and down? Side to side? Also need the piston-cylinder clearances. Looks like I have a 68.0466 bore size. Should I use a .020 oversize piston? What should the ring gap be? Thanks for all the help!

This info is from Clymer manual # M498 (1994 to 1998 YZ250)

Rod to crank side clearance= 0.010 - 0.030 inch (mine had around 0.023 at last tear-down- so I didn't do the crank)
Piston to Cylinder= 0.0016 - 0.0018 inch

No mention of rod up and down movement max- Call Eric Gorr (there should be no detectable up and down movement)

Call Eric Gorr about reboring and plating etc. He did my '94 with an 0.080 overbore and it's working great.
