i HAVE BOUGHT A 2001 YZ 250 i AM A B-RIDER WHO LIKES BIG JUMPS iF I DON'T LAND THIS BIKE PERFECT IT'S LIKE LANDING A FREIGHT TRAIN i HAVE A 99-YZ 125 THAT HAS STIFFER SPRINGS AND IS ALOT MORE FORGIVING. THE 250 HAS STOCK SPRINGS AND I WOULD LIKE TO STIFFEN IT UP WITH NEW SPRINGS. I AM A BUDGET RIDING COLLEGE STUDENT AND WOULD PREFER TO DO THIS MYSELF I KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE SPRINGS AND WANT TO KNOW THE BEST SPRING RATE FOR A 165LB INTERMEDIATE RIDER. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED GREATLY!!

TURN OFF THOSE CAPS!

at 165lbs it doesnt look like you are that heavy and you might be OK with the stock springs. Have you tried all the other adjustments such as the race sag and played with the compression yet? its kind of ironic that i have the opsite problem, i weight 210 and have yet to bottom mine out!
