I have a performance air filter the ones you get from autozone for a jeep and desided to put it on my 2000 yz125. I got it to bolt up by drilling a hole throw the middle of it. Has anyone ever tried this? I am worryed that it might not get enough air or to much. Can anyone give me an opion on how this may work before I go riding?

air in a racing engine is never too much.

go to your local shop and buy a proper air filter. they are not expensive, usually shops hold them on stock and by adapting a filter from a car you may got nothing but engine wear!

I run the K&N that is deigned for my bikes ( i have a 2001 yz125) and they rule. id never risk sucking some dirt into my motor, a new jug costs big bucks!

I do have the orignal filter on it now but i just want to put this one on it for looks. It is the exact same thing as the k&n ones that are made for dirt bike but only $30 instead of $90. I just want to know if it may work if i do it correctly or if anyone has done this before?
