yz250 oil

Looking to change the crankcase oil in my 03'yz250.I know most will say use yamalube,but the dealer is 25mi away and manual says a 10-30 motor oil may be used.What are we using to save me a trip to the stealership?

Anything that is not energy conserving. Some like ATF, some like gear oil, some like motor oil. Synthetic, petrol, semi-syn, you'll find lots of knowledgable people using all of the above. Whatever you use, change it often.

you can use motor oil 10-30, but change it frequently, like every other ride. I use bel ray gear saver SAE85
