Hi

I currently ride a modified KDX200, but I am looking to step up to a 250 2 stroke. What should I get KX250 or YZ250, I have two friends one rides an 2004 YZ and the other a 2005 KX, both swear by there bikes. The KX is cheaper to buy her in South Africa for some reason, new KX is R47 000 and a new YZ is R57 000, divide this by 6.83 to get to dollars.

Which bike is the best, ali frame of the YZ, etc.

Thanks

Paul

Tell Me about it, it makes me sick when I see what everyone else pays for there bikes in the states, but South Africa is my home and besides the ridiculous prices we pay for stuff it is a cool place to stay, with loads of riding area and no restriction like red sticker and green sticker bikes. All you have to do is keep the shinny side up and ride like you stole it, not that it is stolen, it is just an expression here.

Any more input would be good thanks.

I haven't ridden or even read about the new KX, but there are a few threads about them in the cr/kx/yz/rm forum. I love my 05 YZ250. It's extremely light, and has great bottom end power. Very happy with it so far.

Pmb ay? Whereabouts? Im from table mountain area.
Im coming back in 6 weeks (from UK) and will be looking to get myself a bike. Word on the street is everyone riding 4 stroke - is that true? I would really love to get a kx250 but I the prices are too mad. What would I expect to pay for a 2nd hand one?
