Since I got such a great deal on a big-bore cylinder and piston for my '94 YZ250 several years ago from Eric, I wanted to get his opinion first. I have a 2006 YZ250F Limited Edition now, and am interested in more horsepower. I am an anti-pipe guy, because my bike came with a perfectly good pipe and silencer from the Yamaha factory. It seems to get the smoke from the front to the back in pretty good fashion.
I feel that a big-bore kit may be the best bang for the buck. I would like to know your opinions on boring the stock cylinder, or purchasing a complete cylinder such as the Athena 290 kit. What options am I overlooking? Am I on the right track here?
